About Us
In the spring of 2006 in Toronto, Monika made the first batch of hot pink
grapefruit soap in her kitchen to sell as a fundraiser for breast
cancer. Now known as “Pretty In Pink”, it's one of Froosh's best
sellers. Monika liked what she came up with so much that she began
experimenting and concocting new recipes and creations. That summer,
inspired by a desire to work from home to spend more time with her
super-cute new baby, she began selling her soaps at the famous St.
Lawrence Market on Saturdays.
Monika's best friend and 'Realtor Extraordinaire' Kevin, was interested in her new venture. Wanting to try something completely new, Kevin got on board the Froosh train!
The duo spent that summer working the local market circuit, creating new recipes, observing their customers and building a brand. By the end of the season they were ready to take Froosh to the next level and start getting their wares out to the masses and opened up the online shop. Froosh has since participated in countless shows, markets and events including One of a Kind, The Clothing Show, Artisans at the Distillery and the Flaunt in Ottawa.
Froosh is committed to making fun and fresh handmade body treats that work, look and smell fabulous, but won't break the bank. All products are handmade in small batches at their Toronto studio, so you can feel good about supporting Canuck culture. All products are vegetarian friendly, and we test on ourselves, not animals.
